Travis William Banks was born on February 14, 1985 to Jeff and Sandy (Albro) Banks. He made the perfect addition to the growing family and was welcomed by his older sister Kacie.
Travis was a bright fun-loving child growing up. A true country boy that enjoyed playing in the woods, fishing with his father and grandfather, and swimming in the creek. He was involved in every sports activity possible throughout his school years. Travis had big dreams that one day he would go to culinary school and get to continue his love of cooking.
He got the pleasure of welcoming another brother, Kamen, into his life when he was 13. He was so proud to be a big brother.
He later met and fell in love with Charity Cavitt of Gainesville. They were engaged to be married and planned on starting a family one day.
Travis enjoyed spending time with his two nephews Trevor and Cash. Whether it was taking them fishing or simply watching cartoons with them.
Travis still enjoyed fishing and loved working in his garden everyday. He was a member of the Cherokee Nation and held strong with his Native American heritage.
Travis went to soar with the eagles on August 22,2014. He was a blessing to all who knew him and will be forever missed. He was welcomed with open arms by his father, Jeff and grandfather, Sky "Poppy" Banks.
He is survived by his mother Sandy; older sister Kacie; and younger brother Kamen; grandparents Joe and Carol Albro, and Billie Banks; and two nephews Trevor and Cash.
Also many uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends.
Memorial Services for family and friends will be held on Saturday August 30 th at the Downward Fairplains Community Center at 11 am.
