Baby Ruth Hoover

Funeral service for Baby Ruth Hoover, 86, of Gainesville, are set for 10:00 AM Tuesday, May 10, 2011, at the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. David McLerran officiating. Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 6:00 to 7:30 PM Monday, May 9, 2011 at the funeral home.

Ruth passed away May 5, 2011 at her home in Gainesville.

She was born September 16, 1924 in Lubbock to Willie Howard and Mabel Augusta Jones Mauldin. Ruth was well loved by everyone who knew her. She left her touch on all she met. She will be greatly missed.

Ruth is survived by daughters, Diana Clements of Sandyhook, MS; Vicky Meintser of Dallas; Cindy Vaughan and Rebecca Norwood of Gainesville; son Ric Hoover of Dallas. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; 4 sisters and 2 brothers.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband and best friend, Richard Hoover; grandsons Richard Sutton and Clay Clement; and brothers Bill and Harry Mauldin.
