ANNA BELL MOSMAN SPRINGFIELD
A funeral service for Annabelle Springfield, 86, of Gainesville, will be held at 1:30 PM Saturday, February 18, 2012 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with Fr. Victor Cruz officiating. Burial will follow in the New Resthaven Cemetery where she will be laid to rest next to her husband and daughter. A rosary and visitation will held at 5:00 PM Friday, February 17, 2012 at the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home.
Mrs. Springfield passed away on February 13, 2012 at her residence.
Annabelle was born September 17, 1925 to Peter and Elizabeth Krebs Mosman in Lindsay. She was one of 14 children all born in the family home. She married Thurman Springfield on April 25, 1947 in Gainesville. She helped construct bombs for the U.S. Army as a civilian during WWII.
Mrs. Springfield is survived by her two sons Michael Springfield and Robert Springfield, both of Gainesville. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and her brother Buddy Mosman; sister Delores Friske; and sister Aileen Anderson.
Annabelle was preceded in death by her husband; her oldest son Odell Springfield; two daughters Deborah Sloop and Barbara Langston and by 10 siblings.
