Jessie H. "Red" Brinkley

Funeral services for Jessie H. "Red" Brinkley 79, of Gainesville are set for Tuesday February 21, at 11:00 a.m. at the Geo. J. Carroll and Son Chapel with the Reverend Jordon Johnson officating with burial to follow in the Fairview cemetery.The family will receive friends on Monday February 20, 2012 from 7:00 p.m. til 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Mr. Brinkley passed away on Sunday February 19, 2012 at his home.



Jessie was born on July 24, 1933 in Aubrey Tx to Thomas Reed and Minnie Mae Brown Brinkley. He married Imagene Thomison on August 7, 1954 in Gainesville.

Jesse loved to fish and enjoyed following the Texas Rangers baseball team., but most of all he loved his family and especially his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years Imagene Brinley, daughter and son in law Lisa and Thomas Lindenborn, grandaughters Rachael Smelley, Ashley Scott, Jessica Brinkley, grandsons Chris Smelley, Jordon Scott and a sister Audrey Green.

He is preceded in death by his parents, daughters Deborah Dotson in 1997, Karen Smelley in 1999, son Bobby Brinkley in 1982 and seven brothers and sisters.
