Dorothy Waldene Ary Chisam

Funeral services for Dorothy Waldene Ary Chisam, 92, of Valley View, are set for 11:00 AM Saturday, December 8, 2012, at the Valley View Church of Christ, with Kenneth Cebrun Sr. officiating. Burial will follow in the Valley View cemetery under the direction of Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home. A visitation will start at 10:00 AM, one hour before the service at the church.

Dorothy was born in Coleman on August 14, 1920, to Luther and Birda Mae Pridemore Ary. She passed away on December 5, 2012, in Gainesville.

Dorothy lived in Valley View, and married Isaac Ferdinand "Snooks" Chisam on October 26, 1939. She was a dedicated homemaker and seamstress. She also worked for the Valley View ISD for 21 years. She was a member of the Valley View Church of Christ.

She is survived by her son Bobby Chisam and wife Judi of Lewisville; daughter-in-law Margie Carol Chisam of Valley View; granddaughters Jennifer Beam of Frisco, and Kristin Wurzbach of San Antonio; grandsons Jeff Chisam of Valley View, and Matt Chisam of Phoenix, AZ; and great-grandchildren Dustie Powers, Corie Chisam, Julia Beam, Easton Chisam, and Holden Chisam.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband Ferd, and a son Gary Chisam.
