A visitation for Joetta Ann Lance, 65, of Gainesville, is scheduled for Wednesday, January 9, 2013 from 5 – 7 p.m. at the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home.

Mrs. Lance passed away January 4, 2013 in Gainesville. She was born June 26, 1947 in Louisville, KY to Harold and Loretta Gift.

Mrs. Lance loved playing bingo and cooking. Above all, she cherished her family and the time she got to spend with her children and grandchildren.

Mrs. Lance is survived by: husband, Frank E. Lance, Sr. of Gainesville; daughter, Wendy Gilbert and fiancé, Richard Ingram of Vernon; son, Albert Jones of Mesquite; daughter, Julie Jones of Mesquite; son, Verlon Bo Jones, Jr. and wife, Cindy of Dallas; son, William Henry Thomason, II of Mt. Washington, KY; son, Marshall Thomason and wife, Danielle of Dallas; daughter, Priscilla Pendleton of Dallas; son, Frank E. Lance, Jr. of Gainesville; son, Steve Edward Lance of Sanger; son, Glenn Earl Lance and wife, Tracy of Valley View; daughter, Lori Marshall of Gainesville; 21 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; sister, Deborah Day and husband, Gary Burnett of Louisville, KY; brother, Tommy Ackerman and wife, Ruthie of Brandenburg, KY; and sister, Nell Thacker and husband, Johnny of The Villages, FL.
