Arlen Gene Pierce

Funeral services for Arlen G. Pierce, 78, of Gainesville, are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 8, 2013 at Era Baptist Church with Jim Lundberg officiating. Interment will follow at Era Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 7 at Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home.

Mr. Pierce passed away August 4, 2013 in Gainesville.

He was born July 31, 1935 in Lone Grove, OK.

Mr. Pierce was a long-time farmer in Era. He will be dearly missed by all that loved him.

He is survived by: his wife of 53 years, Cora Pierce of Gainesville; daughter, Connie Coe of Valley View; son, Randy Pierce and wife, Patty of Gainesville; son, Curtis Pierce and wife, Rebekah of Era; eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild; brothers: Velter, Steve, Gary, Tony, and Clint Keith; and sisters: Ann Kimbro, Sharon Cornelison, Barbara Anderson, Carilyn Brintle, and Marilyn Welch.

He was preceded in death by: his mother, Nancy Pierce Keith and her husband, Yokum; sister, Ruth Ditto; and sister, Janice Cottrell.

Serving as pallbearers are: Mike Knabe, Jody Cornelison, Greg Keith, Steve Merrick, Billy Ditto, and Roger Ditto. Honorary pallbearers are: Steve Boone, John Straughn, Steve Smith, and Dale Cornelison.
