Peter Joseph Hellinger

Peter Joseph Hellinger Jr born September 18, 1938 in Tishomingo, Oklahoma to Agnes Krebs and Peter Hellinger Sr. Lived in Tishomingo until the age of three then lived and raised in Lindsay Texas. He married Jeanette Muller of Muenster on July 8, 1961 and celebrated 53 years of marriage. He passed away at home on August 17, 2014 surrounded by his family.

He was a self employed Paint Contractor for almost 45 years and owned and operated a paint store in Gainesville during that time. His hobbies included fishing, gardening, camping and spending time at his place on the river with his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife Jeanette Hellinger of Lindsay; children and their spouses; Natalie and Douglas Hess of Lindsay, Adrienne and Cody Martin of Lindsay, Angela and Dave Smith of Ft Worth, Craig and Jeannie Hellinger of Lindsay, and Danah and Jimmy Dennison of Lindsay.

Grandchildren; Elaine and Josh Goldsmith, Christy and Marcus Dennis, Vanessa Hess and David Zimmerer, Lance and Alyse Ogletree, Derek and Elizabeth Ogletree, Caleb Martin, Adrianna Smith, Jonathan and Angie Smith, Matthew and Megan Smith, Mark Smith, Alicia and Clayton Waite, Haley Hellinger, Kirsten Dennison, James Dennison, and Alaina Dennison. Honorary family Sara Flusche, and Clayton Williams.
Great-grandchildren; Andrew Goldsmith, Emilie Goldsmith, Aubrey Goldsmith, Nora Dennis, Kyle Ogletree, Kage Ogletree, Kaili Ogletree, Peyton Ogletree, Angelina Smith, Jase Smith, Gavin Smith.

Siblings and their spouses; Mary Ann and Lee Tischler of Whitesboro, Nelda Vicari of Montague, Milferd and Betty Hellinger of Walnut Bend, Sister-in-law Clara Hellinger of Lindsay, Janice and Steven Yosten of Muenster, Joyce and Tom Yosten of Denton, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by his parents and brothers James and Larry Hellinger; nephews Troy Hellinger, and Devon Vicari; and niece Jenny Yosten.
A memorial mass will be held at 10:00 AM Friday, August 22, 2014 at St. Peter’s Catholic Church with the Rev. Kyle Waltersheid officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Peter’s Cemetery under the direction of Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home. A rosary with visitation to follow will be held at Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home on Thursday, August 21, 2014 at 7:00 PM.
