Joan Mackey

raveside service for Joan Mackey71, of Gainesville are set for Tuesday September 2, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Fairview Cemetery with the Rev. Hollis Parsons officiating under the direction of the Geo. J. Carroll and Son Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Monday September 1, 2014 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Joan passed away on August 29, 2014 at her home.

Joan was born on July 4, 1943 in Decatur, Tx to Jack and Opal Cearley Demspey. She worked as a manager for Diary Queen for many years and her hobbies included cooking and playing Bingo and she was a very loved woman by her family and friends.

Joan is survived by her husband Howard Mackey, children Jerry " Rusty ' Mackey and his wife Amie, James " j.R. " Mackey and wife Karen Jenifer Franklin and husband Billy, grandchildren Jeri, Amanda, nicolette, Binky, Jayla, Wallace, Jamie, Maranda, Jordon, Dillon, Sara, John and great grandchildren Maddy and Bentley and a brother Charles Dempsey.
