Nella Jean Shelton

Nella Jean Shelton, was born on November 4, 1932, and left this earth on October 3, 2014.

She was a long time resident of Whitesboro, Texas and Dallas, Texas. She worked at Southwestern Life Insurance Agency in Dallas, TX until her retirement. She enjoyed planting flowers, painting and crafting, and rearranging furniture. She spent her last years at Lewisville Estates and enjoyed playing cards with new friends, as long as she was winning.

She was preceded in death by her parents Ira Amos Prestage and Mary Kathleen Prestage, her sister Mabel Bomar, and brother Carroll Prestage.

She is survived by her husband Ivan Emery Shelton, her 3 sons and their wives: Stephen and Rhonda, Mark and Sharon, and Brad and Vicki, along with 9 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, one sister, Geraldine Bullard, and one brother, Ray Prestage.

Funeral serivces were held at 10:00 AM Monday, October 6, 2014 at the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Martin, Rev. Louis White, and Rev. Stephen Shelton officiating. Burial was at Nelson Grove Cemetery, Woodbine, TX, immediately following the funeral service.
