Johnny Ray Scott

Funeral services for Johnny Ray Scott, 61, of Gainesville, are set for 10:00 AM Friday October 10, 2014 at the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery under the direction of the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home. A visitation will be held at the funeral home Thursday, October 9, 2014 from 6:00 - 7:00 PM.

Johnny was born on December 12, 1952 in Denison to James Wilbert and Anna (Charabet) Scott. He passed away on October 4, 2014 in Gainesville.

He is survived by his mother Anna of Gainesville; brother Jimmy Scott of Dallas; sister Pat Dudenhoeffer and her husband Tim of Valley View; daughter Jamie Layer and her husband Michael of Arvada, CO.; son Barry Scott and his wife Ammie of Gainesville; grandchildren Seth Burkhart, Elijah Layer, Levi Layer, Logan Scott, Kaleb Scott, and Ally Scott; significant other Wanda Bonn of Fort Worth; step-daughter Shelly Lowry and her husband Robert of Callisburg; Step-daughter Brandy Bonn of Woodbine; step-grandchildren Colten Sparkman, Dawson Reed, Jessica Lowry, and Nick Lowry.

He was preceded in death by his father Jim in 1999.
