Mr Phelps is survived by four sons; Cody Phelps and Cory Phelps, both of Beaumont, Texas, Colby Nero of Lafayette, Louisiana, and Trent Phelps of Tulsa, Oklahoma; parents, John William Phelps and Judy Phelps of Winnie, Texas;two sisters, Renee Murrell of Winnie, Texas and Diana Swor of Chico, Texas; brother, John William Phelps, Jr. Of Winnie, Texas; two grandsons and one granddaughter.
