Helen was born on December 16, 1925 in Wichita Falls to parents Clifford C. and Delma E. McGuire. She passed away on February 6, 2015 in Wichita Falls.

She was a graduate of Wichita Falls High School. Helen was a meter maid for the city of Wichita Falls, and an office manager for her husband's electrical contracting business.
She is survived by daughter Tollie E. Pettyjohn; son Michael R. Pettyjohn; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Billy O. Pettyjohn; and a daughter Rita C. (Gillispie) McKee.
