BLAINE, Helen Leo
Age 92, passed away peacefully on March 26, 2015. She was born to G. O. and Bervah Franks on February 17, 1923 in Denton, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and love of her life, Robert A. “Pete” Blaine, Jr., brothers, Warren and Howard Franks and sister, Frances Smith. She is survived by her son, Robert A. “Al” Blaine, III and wife, Charlotte; daughter, Deborah Blaine Kee; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Helen was exceptionally artistic and accomplished in many areas including sculpture, ceramics, floral arranging, decorating and sewing. She was a member of her church choir and had a strong and abiding faith. In her earlier years, Helen was a model for Neiman Marcus and later enjoyed teaching charm and etiquette.
She was devoted to her children and grandchildren and loved nothing more than a family gathering. Helen will be remembered by all who knew her for her warm heart and overwhelming kindness and generosity.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, March 30th at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel at Geo. J. Carroll & Sons Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery.
