Paul Edward Freeman

Funeral services for Paul Edward Freeman, 60, of Gainesville, are set for 10:00 AM Monday, January 11, 2016 at the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home, with Jay Culpepper officiating. Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery. A visitation will be held on Sunday, January 10, 2016 from 4:00 - 5:00 PM at the funeral home.

Paul was born on June 28, 1955 in Gainesville to S.M. and Patsy Louise (Brizendine) Freeman. He passed away on January 7, 2016 in Gainesville.

Paul retired from the Gainesville Fire Department after 20 years of service. He then went to work at the pro shop at Gainesville Municipal Golf Course, and Turtle Hill Golf Course. He was also a licensed independent insurance agent.

He is survived by his wife Lou Ann of Gainesville; sister Patricia Sharp and her husband Pat of Gainesville; sister-in-law Elaine Montgomery of Harrison, AR.; sister-in-law Brenda Hall of California; sister-in-law Debbie Newton and her husband Nelson of Valley View; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother Jerry Don Freeman.
