A memorial service for Earnest Porter Sr., 84, of Gainesville, is set for 4:00 PM Saturday, November 5, 2016 at the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home with Adrian Pegues officiating.
Earnest was born on January 13, 1932 in Houston to Johnny and Hattie Porter. He passed away on November 2, 2016 in Gainesville.
He is survived by his wife Jessie of Gainesville; son Earnest Porter Jr. of Sherman; daughter Sherri Purvey of Carrollton; and grandson Earnest Porter III of Tyler.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
