Gary Don "Bubba" Kemp

Funeral services for Gary Don “Bubba” Kemp, 62, of Gainesville, are scheduled for 2:00 PM on Wednesday, September 27, 2017 at Church of Jesus Christ with Bro. Arthur Green officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Tuesday, September 26 at the funeral home.

Mr. Kemp passed away September 22, 2017 in Denton.

Gary was born October 27, 1954 in Sulphur Springs to Ralph and Dorothy Vaunell (King) Kemp. He was a residential painter around Gainesville for many years. He enjoyed drawing, watching sports, and had a memorable sense of humor.

Survivors include: son Gary Alan Kemp of Victoria; daughter Krystal Dawn Kemp of San Antonio; daughter Amber Kemp of Austin; several grandchildren; sister Lou Jean Barina of Gun Barrel City; sister Patricia Ann Query and husband Jim of Charlotte, NC; sister Donna Kay Manuel and husband Monte of Denton; sister Debra Sue Carlile and husband Tom of Gainesville; sister Charlotte Vincent and husband Shawn of Gainesville; brother Donald Ray Wesson and wife Laura of Gainesville; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Mr. Kemp was preceded in death by: parents Ralph Kemp, Dorothy Vaunell, and Buford Ray Wesson; and sister Barbara Flowers.

Serving as pallbearers are: James Barina, Jamie Vincent, Shanna Wesson, Clint Britain, Jeremy Wesson, and Ronnie Skaggs.

The family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff of River Valley Health and Rehabilitation and Medical City Denton for the care provided to Mr. Kemp over the past several years.
