A graveside service for James H. Braudaway, 57, of Woodbine, is scheduled for 2:00 PM on Wednesday, October 25, 2017 at Oak Grove Cemetery with Mike “Pappy” Hines officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:00 PM on Tuesday, October 24 at Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home.
Mr. Braudaway passed away October 22, 2017 in Woodbine.
James was born January 6, 1960 in Dallas to James Marvin and Velma Louise (Ussery) Braudaway. He was raised and attended school in Fort Worth. He married Donna Thomison on November 30, 2002 in Woodbine. A mechanic by trade, Mr. Braudaway worked at Denton County Auto Salvage for over 20 years. He enjoyed fishing and treasured the time spent with his family, particularly his grandchildren. Mr. Braudaway will be remembered as a man with a big heart, and will be missed dearly.
Survivors include: wife Donna Braudaway of Woodbine; daughter Angela Skrobarczyk and husband Joshua of Austin; daughter Cristina Ashlock and husband Jonathan of Marietta, OK; son Troy King of Woodbine; son Parnell Brock of Denison; son Chris Brock and wife Kim of Altus, OK; son Kyle Brock of Altus, OK; son Mickey Davis of Denison; 29 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; sisters: Carolyn Miller of Gainesville, Kathryn Swartz of Pennsylvania, and Frances Blackstone of Waco; brother Harmon Braudaway and wife Sheri of Sulphur, OK; 8 nieces; and 7 nephews.
Mr. Braudaway was preceded in death by: his parents; and nephew Jim “Catfish” Attaway.
Serving as pallbearers are: Jonny Ashlock, Josh Skrobarczyk, J.T. Ashlock, Dalton Oglesby, William Blackstone, Troy King, Dylan Ashlock, and Velma Blackstone.
