Jeffrey Dale Wheeler

Services for Jeffrey Dale Wheeler will be held on April 28, 2008 at the First Baptist Church of Gainesville at 11:00 A.M. with the Dr. Mark Denison officiating. The burial will be following the service at Fairview Cemetery in Gainesville, TX. The family will recieve friends and family for a visitation on Sunday, April 27, 2008 from 5:00 - 7:00 P.M. at the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home Chapel.

He was born Oct. 1, 1956, in Gainesville to Lacy and Frances Richter Wheeler. He attended Gainesville public schools and North Central Texas College. He was a veteran of the United States Navy, serving as a corpsman. He was employed by Vance International, Executive Protective Agent, the Texas Youth Commission as juvenile correctional officer for 14 years, and 2 years by FEMA, Department of Homeland Security.

Survivors include his daughter, Sarah Lacy Wheeler of Gainesville; parents, Lacy and Frances Wheeler of Gainesville; sisters and brother-in-law, Lynne and Mike Compton of Gainesville and Jeri Mullins of Plano; eight cousins; three nieces; and three nephews.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Bryan Wheeler; and brother-in-law, Mark Mullins.

Pallbearers are Joe Bob Jones, Craig Claxton, Jim Wicker, Cody and Matt Compton, Zach Mullins, and Jerrod Campbell.
