Ballew, Peggy Jean Funeral services for Peggy Jean Ballew, 72, of Plano, Texas are set for 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 7, 2009 at First Baptist Church Gainesville, Texas with Pastor D. Samuel Dennis of Plano officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Geo. J. Carroll and Son Funeral Home. A reception for family and friends will be held at First Baptist Church Fellowship Hall following the burial. Peggy passed away Thursday, January 29, 2009 at her home. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Dolly and Dalmar Langley. Survivors include her husband, Robert E. Ballew of Plano; son and daughter-in-law Gregg and Lisa Ballew of Plano; daughter Denise Ballew of Alexandria, Virginia; daughter and son-in-law Marla and Michael Ford of Asheville, North Carolina; grandchildren Natalie Ballew, Davis Ballew, Lila Ford, and Colton Ford; brother and sister-in-law Robert and Rita Langley of Lake Kiowa, Texas; nephew Jeff Langley and family of San Diego, California; niece Cyndy Crider and family of Castaic, California; and many cousins and in-laws. Peggy was born in Gainesville, Texas on December 18, 1936. She attended the University of North Texas and married Eddie on March 31, 1957. After raising her family in Gainesville, Peggy and Eddie moved to Plano in 1988. She worked in the real estate business for many years while also travelling and enjoying time with her grandchildren. Peggy was a member of Parkway Hills Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, a donation in Peggy's memory may be made to the Michele Ann McClure Ovarian Cancer Support Group Fund, Baylor Healthcare System Foundation, 3600 Gaston Ave., Barnett Tower, Suite 100, Dallas, TX 75246 or First Baptist Church-Library, 308 Broadway St., Gainesville, TX 76240.
