Doyle Ray Evans

Graveside service for Doyle Ray “Pee Wee” Evans, 63, of Gainesville is set for 2 p.m. Wednesday at Oak Grove Cemetery with Pastor Steve Brown officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home of Gainesville.

Mr. Evans died Sept. 7, 2007, at his residence.

He was born Nov. 30, 1943, in Bonham to Willie and Josie Langford Evans. On Aug. 24, 1972, he married Pamela J. Burney in Saginaw. He retired from Par Products as plant manager, following employment in excess of 30 years.

Survivors include his wife, Pam Evans of Gainesville; sons and daughters-in-law, Jeff and Fran Evans and Cody and Lindsay Evans; daughters and son-in-law, Sheree and Lloyd McCanless and April Rodgerson; nine grandchildren; brothers, Charles, Bill, Roger and David Evans; and a number of cousins, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and sisters, Ella and Carol.

Visitation will be at the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home from 7 to 8 p.m. today.
