MARIE E. CANNON
Graveside services for Marie E. Cannon, 91, of Gainesville are set for 10 a.m. Saturday at Fairview Cemetery with Rev. Jim Goodwin, pastor of Whaley United Methodist Church officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home of Gainesville.
Ms. Cannon died July 25, 2008, at North Texas Medical Center in Gainesville.
She was born Jan. 16, 1917, in Gainesville to Clyde E. and Una Bradley Cannon. She was a life-long resident of Gainesville and was christened at the age of 2 weeks at Whaley United Methodist Church, and had maintained her membership there. She was a graduate of Gainesville High School and Cooke County College, now North Central Texas College.
Survivors include a number of cousins.
No visitation is planned.
Memorial contributions may be made to Whaley United Methodist Church; Cooke County Library; or to Home Hospice of Cooke County.
