Ruth Maurine Stroud

Graveside services for Maurine Stroud, 84, of Valley View, are set for Sunday, May 17, 2009 at the Valley View Cemetery at 2:00 PM. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Saturday May 16, 2009 from 5:00 to 6:30 PM. Services are under the direction of Geo. J. Carroll and Son Funeral Home.

She is survived by nephews Stanley Pace, Clay Pace, and Eric and his wife Lisa Hancock; nieces Will Anne Marmaduke-Comer and her husband John, and Peggy Pace; Great-nephews and nieces Chris and Jacklyn Marmaduke, Daniel and Amanda Allred, and Reva Pace; Great-great nephews and great nieces Jennie Pace, Emily Allred, Ella Allred, Ava Allred, Josh Wilson, Shanna Wilson, and Richard Skinner.

She was preceded in death by her husband Homer Stroud, her parents, two brothers, and two sisters.

In lieu of flowers, the family ask that memorial contributions be made to the Valley View High School Library in her honor.
