Graveside services for Wayne W. Dillard, 93, of Gainesville are set for 10am Monday, April 19, 2010 at Resthaven Cemetery with Pastor Scott Sundbye officiating and a full Military Honor Guard.

Visitation is set from 3:00 to 5:00 Sunday at George J Carroll & Son. Services are under the direction of George J Carroll & Son Funeral Home.

Wayne W Dillard died Thursday April 15, 2010 at his residence. He was a gardener, rancher, family man who took great joy in his Children, Grandchildren and great grand children, always interested in their lives. He was a great life teacher. He was a career military man who served his country both stateside and over seas. He served in WWII and was a POW in Germany. He retired from the United States Air Force on September 1, 1967.

He was born October 30,1916 in Sivells Bend to Joe and Nora Dillard. He married Cymbaline Hatcher September 1, 1941. He was preceded in death his parents, his wife Cymbaline and brothers Joe (Dutch) and William (Bill) Dillard, and wife Dolly Dillard.

He is survived by his daughter Jo Ann Dillard Nicholson and husband John, son Rusty Dillard and wife Sherry, son Bob Dillard and wife Annie. Granddaughter Cheryl Ann Shauf and husband Chad, great grandchildren Casey, Chance and Chad Jr., Granddaughter Gina Reagan, great grand children Randy Harper and Haley Reagan. Granddaughter Shauna Dillard, Deann Lemon, Morgan Lemon and great grand son Madden Wells. Grandsons Brian Nicholson and Michael Nicholson, great grandson Ben Henley & Jeff Dillard. Step children Bobby Don Doty, DuAnn Genson, Debbie Baker and families.
