Funeral services for Charles Mitchell, 40, of Gainesville have been set for Tuesday November 16, 2010 at 11:00 am at the Geo J Carroll & Son Chapel with the Rev. Daniel Green officiating.  Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Geo J Carroll & Son Funeral Home.  Mr. Mitchell died Friday November 12, 2010 in Dallas.

Charles was born April 6, 1970 in Gainesville to Kenneth Mitchell Jr. and Elaine Welch.  He is survived by his parents: Kenneth and Shirley Mitchell of Gainesville; son: Andrew Mitchell of Nebraska; sister: Marilyn Mitchell of Denton, Brandi Fuhrmann – Carranza and her husband Albert Carranza of Gainesville; brother: David and his wife Christi Fuhrmann of Krugerville; step-brothers: Michael and his wife Kim Herr of California, David and his wife Judy Herr of Colorado; step-sisters: Tina Herr of Texas, Kathy and her husband Randy Earhart of Oklahoma, Pam Herr of Oklahoma, and Janice and her husband Arne Forsverg of California; grandparents: Dorthy Mitchell of Gainesville and Cecil and Ola Welch of Gainesville; niece: Madelyn Fuhrmann of Krugerville and special care provider: Lana Adewusi of Arlington.

Charles is preceded in death by his mother and step-father: Melvin and Elaine Welch Herr; and his grandfather: Kenneth “Barney” Mitchell, Sr.

Pallbearers will be: Steve Metzler, David Fuhrmann, Albert Carranza Jr., Donivan Clark, Darvius King, and Carl Flushe.
