Mary Jeanette Lee

Memorial services will be held on Monday, May 11, 2009 at 4:00 p.m. at the George J. Carroll & Son Chapel. Jan Lee died on May 8, 2009 at Harris Methodist Hospital in Ft. Worth, TX.



Jan was born on January 4, 1950 in Ft. Worth, TX to Buddy and Mary Jo Schmidt. She attended Ft. Worth public schools and graduated from Eastern Hills H.S. in Ft. Worth, TX. She also attended Texas Wesley University in Ft. Worth.



She married Wayne Lee on June 5, 1970 and they moved to Gainesville in 1981. Jan later attend North Central Texas College in Gainesville, TX and obtained her R.N. Degree. She was employed at North Texas Medical Center as a Registered Nurse.



Jan will remembered as a loving wife, mother, friend, neighbor, and a skilled nurse to the many patients she cared for over the years at NTMC. She loved the outdoors and would spend hours working in her yard. Her hobbies included arts & crafts, gardening (pulling weeds) and fishing.



She is survived by her husband Wayne Lee of Gainesville, son and daughter-in-law Ronnie and Heather Lee of Krum, TX; son and daughter-in-law Shaun and Dixie Lee of Denton, TX; two sisters, Debbie Norris of Ft. Worth, TX and Rae Dobias of Weatherford, TX and many aunts, nieces and nephews.
