Andy Vincent Arendt
Andy Vincent Arendt, age 72 of Lindsay, passed away after a battle with Covid-19 on Dec 18, 2020 at 8:00 p.m. He was born in Muenster, TX to the late Andrew ‘Nick” Arendt and MaryAnn Arendt on April 4, 1948.
Andy graduated from University of North Texas with a degree in marketing. Andy was amazingly creative, like his mother, and he worked well with his hands. He designed and hand-built his own home in Lindsay, TX as well as other buildings in the area. He loved American history and politics. At the end of his life, he spent time reading many American history books and listening to running political commentary. He worked in marketing and sales in the restaurant/service industries throughout his life as well as building and running his own food service company, called Fabacher Foods, for a time in the 1990s. Andy was naturally friendly, kind-hearted and loving. He’d always do something for someone else- whether that would be helping a stranger on the side of the road or giving advice on how to build something. Andy also loved his family, the great state of Texas, the Dallas Cowboys, and his church- St. Peter’s Catholic Church.
Survivors include his children Nicole, Julie, Scott and Mindy as well as 7 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. He is also survived by his sisters and brothers: David, Cathy, Janie, Jimmy, Steve and Donna as well as a large number of loving relatives and friends.
Andy’s beautiful life will be celebrated at a memorial service set for a later date, due to the Covid-19 virus. The family wishes to thank those who helped their family in the difficult days of his battle with covid. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Andy’s name to St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Lindsay, TX.
