Beatrice (Tootsie) Kuntz

April 18, 1928 — April 11, 2021

Beatrice (Tootsie) Kuntz, 92, of Valley View, passed away April 11, 2021 at the Renaissance Care Center.  She was born April 18, 1928 in Lindsay, to Pete and Pauline (Laux) Block.

Mrs. Kuntz graduated from Lindsay High School in 1945.  She married John Kuntz on February 20, 1952 at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Lindsay.  They made their home on a farm west of Valley View.  He passed away April 14, 1979.  Tootsie worked at Dustin Office Supply in Gainesville for over 27 years.

Tootsie is survived by one son, Mark Kuntz of Valley View; sister Elfrieda Wagner of Perry, OK; sister Alice Looney of Fort Worth; sister Irene Loerwald of Denton and Patti (Bill) Hemmi of Scotland, TX; numerous nieces and nephews.  She is also survived by her long-time care provider Laneissa King.

Mrs. Kuntz was preceded in death by her parents, husband John, brothers Wilbert (Sonny) Block and Gene Block, and sister Evelyn Fuhrmann.

A Funeral Mass will be held on 10:30 AM Wednesday, April 14, 2021 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Gainesville with Fr. John Pacheco officiating.  Burial will follow in the Valley View Cemetery.  A rosary will be recited at 5:30 PM Tuesday at Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home.
