Betty Lou Morgan (maiden, Gaidaroff), age 85, passed away peacefully on May 3, 2026, in Gainesville, Texas. Born on January 16, 1941, in Hobart, Oklahoma, Betty lived a life of dedication to her family, faith, and community.
A graduate of Cooke County College, Betty devoted much of her life to serving others. She worked as the secretary of First Christian Church for 21 years, where her commitment and care left a lasting impact. After retiring from her role at the church, she continued to give back by volunteering with Cooke County Home Hospice and the NTMC Auxiliary. Her involvement extended to various ministries within her church, reflecting her deep faith and desire to help those around her. In mid-2013, she embraced a part-time position in retail at the local Cracker Barrel, where she enjoyed greeting patrons and forming cherished friendships with both travelers and colleagues.
Betty was a loving mother to her children, Jeremy Morgan and his wife Alli, and Amy Woolsey and her husband TJ. She cherished her grandchildren—Joshua; Breann and her husband Dylan; Emilyn; Jacob; Lexi—and found immense joy in being a great-grandmother to Maggie. Betty is also survived by her sister Linda Clark as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Oscar and Winell Gaidaroff, and her beloved husband, Burney Ray Morgan.
Betty’s warmth and compassion touched everyone who knew her. Her legacy of love and service will continue to inspire those she leaves behind.
May her memory bring comfort to all who were blessed to know her.
