Carla Geraldine Smith

Carla Geraldine Smith, 68, of Gainesville, Texas, passed away on June 2nd 2025, following long term health complications.

Carla was born July 9th 1956 in Gainesville, Texas, the daughter of Geraldine (Mabry) & Billy E. Smith.

Carla graduated from Gainesville High School in 1974. She worked as a Benefit Coordinator at Texas Department of Health & Human Services, for many years.

Carla especially loved handcrafting items. She was a skilled sewer, crocheter, and a devoted gardener.

Remaining to cherish Carla's memory are her brothers Gregg, Jeff and wife Katy. Her nieces Victoria Smith, Eleanor and husband Will Overbey, Jacqueline Smith, and honorary nephews Clayton Carter, Alex Hamilton, Stephen and Sutton Fuhrmann.

Preceding Carla in death are her parents Geraldine & Billy.

Visitation will be held June 6th 2025 at 10am at George J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held June 6th 2025 at 11am at George J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home.

Interment at Fairview Cemetery, in Gainesville.
