Carolyn Kay Murray

Carolyn Murray, 84, of Collinsville, passed away October 31, 2023, in Sherman.

Carolyn was born April 22, 1939 in Seminole, OK and attended Gainesville schools.  She married Clifford J. Murray on July 6, 1956.  Mrs. Murray enjoyed sewing, gardening, and spending time outdoors.  Although she loved her dogs dearly, she treasured her grandchildren most.

Survivors include: daughter Rebecca Esmaili-Doki (Ali) of Sherman; grandson Bryan Esmaili-Doki of Forney; granddaughter Elly Antony (Ashish) of Anna; granddaughter Sheila Esmaili-Doki of Sherman; grandson Cameron Esmaili-Doki of Sherman; grandson Brandon Murray of Bryan-College Station; grandson Jeremy Murray of Conroe; granddaughter Candice Rainwater of Cypress; great-grandchildren Noah and Sophia Antony of Anna; sister Judy Morgan (Mike) of Bryan-College Station; sister Betty McClendon of Gainesville; sister-in-law Beverly Norvell of Gainesville; sister-in-law Yevonne Russell of Collinsville; sister-in-law Mavis Ogle of Haltom City; and sister-in-law Nova Murray of Gainesville.

Mrs. Murray was preceded in death by: parents Walter Haggard and Sybil Lena (Frost) Kizzar; husband Clifford J. Murray; son Donnie Murray; sister Eva Williams; sister Wanda Hunt; brother Dakota Lavar; and brother Dee Lamar.

A graveside service is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. on Friday, November 3, 2023 at Fairview Cemetery, Gainesville, under the direction of Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home.
