Chandler Hemenway

We are devastated to announce the sudden passing of Chandler Justin Lane Hemenway, 19, of Gainesville, TX, on June 27, 2026. Born April 16, 2007 to Brandon and Brandi Hemenway, Chandler was a vibrant, full of life person with a bright future ahead of him.

Chandler attended Callisburg School District and graduated online in June 2024. Chandler then decided to join the Army and enlisted in August 2025. Chandler was known best for being kind, his smile, his ability to talk to anyone, and he was always the life of the party. Chandler was passionate about many things. He loved playing football, hanging out with friends, music, and dancing. Chandler dreamed of becoming a ranger in the Army and always wanted to do modeling. He had an amazing group of friends and a spirit that touched everyone he met.

Chandler is survived by his loving parents Brandon and Brandi Hemenway; his sister Danielle and brother Landon; grandparents Kathy and Marv Kallhoff, Sheila Bullard, Ricky Bostick, and Tommy and Venus Sasser; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his Aunt Jennifer Jensen and Grandpa Daniel Hemenway.

A celebration of Chandler’s life will be held on July 9th at George J. Carroll Funeral Home, 602 Lindsay St., Gainesville, TX 76240. The family will begin receiving friends at 10:00 a.m. and the funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m. A committal service at Callisburg Cemetery will immediately follow. All who loved him are welcome to attend and celebrate the wonderful person he was.
