Christy Buckaloo Shaw

Christina Marie (Buckaloo) Shaw, age 49, passed away unexpectedly on August 7, 2025 in Irving.

Christy was born May 28, 1976 in Wilson, OK. She attended schools in Marietta, OK and Thackerville, OK. Christy worked for the Federation Medical Board of Texas for 10 years. She enjoyed exploring the local creeks for fossils and was skilled with her hands and a paint brush. Christy had a passion for horses and horseback riding. She was known by her friends as a diva in the fashion community. Christy never met a stranger. She was a free spirit that lived life to the fullest. She will be dearly missed.

Survived by: sons Clayton Shaw (Lauren), Andrew Shaw (Angelina), Conner Chapman, and Jaxon Williams; granddaughter Montana June Shaw; mother Nita Williams (Mark), sister Crystal Johnson; and brother Matt Buckaloo (Erin).

Predeceased by: father Gary Buckaloo and wife Mary; grandparents Kenneth and Juanita Snider; grandmother Irene Buckaloo; and brother Dwayne Buckaloo.

Services are scheduled for Sunday, August 10, 2025, at Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home, Gainesville. The family will begin receiving friends at 2:00 p.m. and a funeral service will begin at 3:00 p.m. You may register condolences online at www.geojcarroll.com.
