Christine Jones

Christine Jones, 86, of Valley View, passed away April 16, 2026 in Valley View.

Christine was born February 13, 1940 in Parsons, KS. She attended schools in Parsons and was a member of the drill team. Christine met James Wayne Jones in 1955 and the couple were married on November 30, 1957 in Irving. Mrs. Jones was a consummate homemaker and devoted mother. She was known for her cooking, especially her award-winning hamburger pot pie. She was also an accomplished cake decorator and enjoyed birdwatching. Her flower gardens were the envy of many. Mrs. Jones was a longtime member of First Assembly of God in Sanger.

Predeceased by: husband of 65 years, James Wayne Jones; parents James P. Hamilton and Alberta E. (Johnston) Hamilton; grandchildren Amanda, Matthew, and Jospeh; and sister Ladonna McPurdy.

Survived by: son Jerry Jones (Myla) of Weatherford; daughter Sandra Kelley (Mike) of Valley View; grandchildren Michael Zysko (Bailey), Paul Jones (Erica), Alisha Drury (Robert), Shanna Arnold, and Travis Arnold (Micah); and great-grandchildren Mason, David, Jeffery, Jason, Sarah, Barrett, Gwendolyn, Bodie, Violet, Josephine, and Melody.

Services are scheduled for Tuesday, April 21, 2026, at Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home, Gainesville. The family will begin receiving friends at 1:00 p.m. A funeral service will begin at 2:00 p.m. A committal service at Valley View Cemetery will immediately follow.
