Clark Elden Dishman, Sr.

Clark Elden Dishman, Sr. 83, of Gainesville, Texas passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family February 12, 2023.  He was born in Valley View, Texas to Claud and Ethel (Clark) Dishman on November 17, 1939.

Clark joined the United States Air Force right out of High School.

Clark was always a hard worker.  As a child he had two paper routes that he took care of on his bicycle and later on his Cushman eagle motor scooter.  As a teenager he worked at Watts Bros Pharmacy as a stocker and delivery boy.

Clark was self-employed.  He owned and operated Dishman Machine Shop in Lewisville, Texas for many years, where he lived until his retirement.  After retirement he moved back to Gainesville.

Clark loved his family.  He was "one of a kind" and will be greatly missed.

Clark is survived by seven children.  Two sons, Clark Dishman Jr. (Lana), Scott Dishman (Cindy).  Five daughters, Kimberly Dishman Ferrell (Bryan), Shelli Dishman Baldwin (Jamie), Traci Dishman Skinner (Kenneth), Jodie Dishman Templin (Richard), Cammie Dell Dishman Ramos (Arturo).  Also survived by one brother, Delwyn Dishman (Maria), one sister, Claudia Dishman Moore (Bill).  Also survived by 21 Grandchildren and 23 Great grandchildren.  Many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers are Grandsons Clark Dishman III, Daniel Dishman, Taylor Dishman, Steven Dishman, Josh Baldwin, Justin Wright.

He was preceded in death by his parents, siblings Gary Dishman, Rhonda Dishman Pulte, Granddaughter, Stephanie Ferrell; Great grandson Oliver Dishman.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Home Hospice of Cooke County.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, February 15, 2023 at Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home with Bro. Randy Taylor officiating.  Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery.  A visitation will start at 10:00 AM on Wednesday at the funeral home.
