Cynthia Sue Washburn Morrow, "Cindy", returned to the loving arms of Our Lord and Savior on Saturday, August 15, 2026.
Cindy was born on December 14, 1948 in St. Paul, Minnesota, to James Kirk and Ruth Gurley Washburn, and was their only child. As a young child she moved first to Dallas, Texas and then to Logansport, Louisiana, where she graduated from Logansport High School in 1966. After the death of her father, a race car driver, in 1963, her and her mother moved to Shreveport, Louisiana in 1966. There she met her husband, Marlon D'Elton Morrow, on October 29, 1967, and they were married on February 28, 1970. She gave birth to two sons, Micheal Colin Kirk and Wolff King in the early 1970s.
Cindy was a beautiful and multi-talented lady, enriching the lives of all with whom she came into contact. She was a gifted artist and in California worked as a graphic designer and artist for a daily newspaper and a community college. She attended Northeast Louisiana University, Yuba College in California, and California State University in Chico. She did art and poster work for many stage productions, and her artwork was displayed in shows and galleries in California. She studied astronomy, physics, art history, design, and martial arts, among other disciplines, earning accolades in each. She also did occasional modeling work, and her likeness has appeared on magazine and dvd covers.
Cindy was preceded in death by her parents, and survived by her husband and sons. She is buried in Fairview Cemetery in Gainesville, Texas. Heaven is now the more enriched for our earthly loss.
