David H. Dunn

David H. Dunn, 76, of Gainesville, passed away March 21, 2026 in Gainesville.

David was born June 22, 1949 in Borger, TX. He was raised in Lefors, TX and graduated from high school there. Mr. Dunn then served in the U.S. Navy. Following his service, he worked briefly for Haliburton, then attended college and earned his Machinist Certificate. Mr. Dunn was a machinist for National Supply in Gainesville, then retired after many years with Dallas Airmotive. In retirement, Mr. Dunn focused on his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and golf swing.

Survived by: son David Wayne Dunn of Lawton, OK; son William Clint Cain of Gainesville; daughter Nicole Dunn of Gainesville; daughter Ashley Ingersoll (Joshua) of San Antonio; grandchildren Kristin, Aubrey, Landon, Caleb, Charlie, Morgan, and Paige; great-grandchildren Carter, Zariyah, and Adeline; sister Delores Danner (Dash); brother John Dunn (Susie); brother Robert Dunn (Sheila); brother Tommy Merrell (MaryLou); brother Randy Merrell (Evan); sister Michelle Bohanan; sister-in-law Claire Dunn; sister-in-law Karen Scott; niece Amy Allen; and his beloved 98-year-old mother Fay Nunn of Amarillo.

Predeceased by: father Hoyt Dunn; brother Jerry Lynn Dunn; and mother of two of his children, Patricia Diane Dunn.
