Debbie Bishop

Deborah Jean “Debbie” Bishop, a resident of Gainesville, TX and beloved wife, mother, sister, and grandmother, passed away August 5, 2024 in Denton, TX at the age of 76.

Debbie was born June 10, 1948 in Springfield, MO and was raised in Weatherford, OK.  She enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

Survivors include: husband of 44 years, Chuck Bishop of Gainesville; daughter Shannon Farrel of Pensacola, FL; daughter Jessie Bishop of Gainesville; grandchildren Zachary Bishop and Madison Harris; and sister Rebecca Nyman of Natchez, MS.

Mrs. Bishop was predeceased by: parents Jim and Kathryn (Smith) Barnett; sister Priscilla Cote; and brother Jim Barnett.

Memorial services are pending at this time with Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home, Gainesville.  Memorial contributions may be made to a cancer research organization of one’s choosing.
