Donnie Cloer

Funeral services for Donald "Donnie" Earl Cloer , 76, of Gainesville, are scheduled for 2:00 PM Friday, March 20, 2020 at the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 19, 2020 at the funeral home from 6:00 - 8:00 PM.

Donnie was born on January 17, 1944 in Gainesville to Jodie Cloer and Mozelle (Stroud) Cloer . Mr. Cloer passed away on March 15, 2020 at this residence.

Donnie lived his entire life in Gainesville, and he retired from from the Gainesville State School after 20+ years of service.  Donnie worked part-time at Walmart for the past 20 years. He enjoyed all sports, especially football and golf. His cherished spending time with his two granddaughters.

Donnie is survived by his wife Linda Cloer of Gainesville; son Gaylon Cloer and his wife Toni of Gainesville; sister Ann Bunyard of Baytown, Texas; and two loving granddaughters Skylon "Sky" Cloer and Piper Cloer of Gainesville.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother Paul Wayne Cloer ; and brother Lee Roy Cloer .
