Edna L. Bottoms

Edna Louise Bottoms, affectionately called “Weegee”, a longtime resident of Sanger, passed away November 14, 2025 in Gainesville, TX.

Edna was born August 26, 1946 in Lawton, OK. She dedicated her life to helping others from an early age. Edna devoted over 40 years to her career in nursing, providing compassionate care to her patients. She enjoyed decorating for the holidays and spent her leisure time doing crafts and playing with her beloved dachshunds.

Predeceased by: mother and father Adella (Castillo) and Norberto Hernandez; and daughter Laura Lewis.

Survived by: son John William Lewis; daughter Sherry Gibbs; daughter Leann Gibbs; brother Timothy Arispi; brother Robert Hernandez (Marty); sister Marcella Blanco (Roger); and friend Christina Dunlap.
