Funeral services for Ellie "Bo" Hue Searcy, 88, of Gainesville, are set for 11:00 AM Monday, November 23, 2020 at the Hillcrest Church of Christ with Bro. Ken Olison officiating. Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery under the direction of the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home. A visitation will be held on Sunday, November 22, 2020 from 6:00 - 7:00 PM at the funeral home.

Bo was born on June 20, 1932 in Daingerfield to Jessie Searcy and Etter Mae (Robinson) Searcy. He passed away on November 18, 2020 in Gainesville.

Bo is survived by his daughter Joanie Searcy Hudson and her husband Huey of Cleburne; son Le Ellison Searcy and his wife Mary of Denton; daughter Kelly Mims and her husband Carl of Gainesville; son Neil Searcy and his wife Kristin of Belton; grandchildren Quentus Cumby, Mack Cumby, Kayla Searcy, L. J. Searcy, Chutnie Searcy, Trace Searcy, Brendan Calhoun, Brodrick Calhoun, Kyle Searcy, Baylee Mims, Peyton Searcy, Landry Searcy, and Cade Searcy; 27 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife Lee Edna Searcy in 2010; daughter Phelan Newberry; and daughter Tonia Harris.

The family would like to thank L. J. Searcy for taking care of his grandfather, and making sure his needs were met daily. The family would also like to thank his caregiver, Paul Lawson.
