Fidel Moreno Duarte

Fidel Moreno Duarte, 47, of Gainesville, Texas, passed away June 19, 2025. He was born on February 27, 1978, in Valle Hermoso, Tamaulipas, Mexico, to Maria Duarte Alvizu.

Fidel Moreno is survived by his wife, Sonia G. Moreno, and their two children, Ivette G. Moreno and Lisette Moreno, as well as his mother, Maria Duarte Alvizu, by siblings, nieces, and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his brother Osvaldo Moreno Duarte and by his father-in-law, Hermenegildo Lopez Borrego.

Rosary & Visitation will be held at Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home on Tuesday, June 24, 2025, beginning at 6:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, June 25, 2025, at St. Mary Catholic Church of Gainesville with Fr. John Pacheco officiating followed by interment at Fairview Cemetery, where Fidel will be laid to rest in peace.
