Gary Dean Burk

Gary Dean Burk age 74 of Gainesville, Tx lovingly known as “Papa” to his family, passed away on September 25, 2026 in Gainesville. He was born on September 7, 1952 to G.C. Burk & Mary Kathryn (Milstead) Burk in Lamesa, TX.

Gary graduated from Robert E. Lee High School in Midland, TX in 1971. He met the love of his life, Barbara Ann Mizzles and the two married on March 24, 1972. In April 1973 they moved to Gainesville where he started work at Valenite. In February 1974 their wonderful son, Chris Burk was born. Then in June 1978, they were blessed with their daughter Cindi Burk.

Throughout the years he worked at Bell Supply, Select Energy and Complete Energy. He was privileged to have six wonderful and beautiful grandchildren and a bonus granddaughter.

He leaves behind his wife, Ann Burk, son Chris Burk (wife Jenna), daughter Cindi Burk Kallhoff (husband Cory) sister Donna Neves, sister Sue Kilgore, Sister-in-law Linda Roundtree, brother-in-law Steve Mizzles (wife Dana), sister-in-law Vickie Folkers, sister-in-law Elaine Seraette, brother-in-law Ronnie Mizzles. Grandson Walker Davison & wife Alexus, granddaughter Hayden Burk, grand-sons Travis Burk and Nash Burk, granddaughters Jessa Burk and Journee Burk, and a wide circle of friends. He was proceded in death by G.C Burk, Kathryn & Leon Roundtree, Bill & Barbara Mizzles, sister Kathy Burk, brother Wayne Roundtree and sister Cathy Taylor.

We know he is in Heaven watching over us. He will forever be missed.
