Gerald “Jerry” Clint Moore, 77, of Gainesville, passed away October 15, 2025 in Gainesville with his family at his side.
Jerry was born February 9, 1948 in Texarkana. He grew up and graduated high school in Perrin, where he participated in basketball, football, and FFA. Jerry married Roseanne Ashford on June 11, 1970 in Perrin. The restaurant business brought his family to Gainesville in 1979. Jerry also worked in pipe manufacturing and retired from the Texas Department of Transportation. In his leisure time, he enjoyed fishing, gardening, and farming at Lavender Ridge Farms. Jerry was a member of First Baptist Church of Gainesville where he also sang in the choir for many years.
Survived by: wife Roseanne Moore of Gainesville; daughter Penni Edington (Matt) of Gainesville; daughter Shannon Moore of Gainesville; grandchildren Dakota Nichols (Paola), Kenedy Almeida (Carlos), Kielyn Lewis, Makenna Lewis, Landin Lewis, Trysten Edington (Alyssa), Tyler Edington (Shemiyah), and Ahnna Edington; great-grandchildren Camila and Khloe; sister Janice Sitton (Joe) of Perrin; his beloved dog Izzy; numerous nieces that loved him dearly; many close friends and extended family; and dear friend Melody Helton.
Predeceased by: parents G.C. and Nellie (Stanford) Moore; parents-in-law Hollis and Mary Ashford; brother Ray Moore; and brother Eddie Moore.
Services are scheduled for Wednesday, October 22, 2025 at Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home, Gainesville. The family will begin receiving friends at 9:00 a.m. and a funeral service will begin at 10:00 a.m. A committal service will follow at Fairview Cemetery, Gainesville.
