Ida Lou Haley

Ida Lou Haley, 85, of Gordonville, Texas passed away April 19, 2026 at her home. She was born on January 26, 1941 in Gainesville, Texas to Joe A. and Mildred Lee (McCorkle) Glenn.

Ida Lou spent much of her life working as a nanny, where she found great joy in caring for others. She loved cooking for those around her and had a special talent for sewing, often creating beautiful blankets for her loved ones. In her quiet moments, she enjoyed reading and found comfort in a good book. She cherished time with children, especially her grandchildren, and found her greatest happiness in hosting and gathering with family. Her home was always a place of warmth, love, and togetherness.

Ida Lou is survived by her daughters; Lou Ann Crisp, Tina Crisp, Michelle Crisp, and Darla Wilson and husband Donny. Brother James Glenn and wife Tina, brother-in-law Jackie Crisp and wife Joyce, Grandchildren; Riannon Dougherty, Zach Garner, Levi and Dillon Pope, Mary, Bryan, Jo Jo Crisp, Cara Anderson, Jonathan Guiterez, Alexis Williams, Cole Callahan, Cheyenne Brown, and Demi Stephenson. As well as numerous nieces, nephews, great and great great grandkids.

She was preceded in death by her parents Joe and Mildred Glenn, husband Troy Crisp, daughter Melanie Franklin, and son Joe Crisp.

The family will receive friends at Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home of Gainesville, Texas on Monday, April 27, 2026 from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home on Tuesday, April 28, 2026 beginning at 10:00 a.m. with Lyndell Lee Jr. officiating. Ms. Haley will be laid to rest at New Resthaven Cemetery of Gainesville.
