Jimme Burk

Jimme Glen Burk, 87, of Lindsay, Texas passed away August 29, 2026 at River Valley Health & Rehabilitation Center of Gainesville, Texas surrounded by loved ones. He was born on April 25, 1939 in Gainesville, Texas to Dorthy Louise Hellums and shortly after was adopted by Jim and Dovie Burk.

Jimme met the love of his life Carolyn Lea Moss and they were married in 1988. He worked at Lonestar Transportation for more than 10 years. He enjoyed watching television and loved his dogs very much.

Jimme is survived by his wife Carolyn Lea (Moss) Burk, daughter Malinda Brandle, daughter Malissa TeRelie, daughter Dena Wickware, daughter Glenda McNutt, stepdaughter Sandra Stone, stepson Bobby Caraway, stepdaughter Melinda Caraway, sister Suzanne Tiffin and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his adopter parents; Jim and Dovie Burk, his mother Dorthy Louise Hellums and his sister Billie Carroll Talley.
