Jimmy Ray Dickerson

Jimmy Dickerson, 59, of Woodbine, passed away September 2, 2026 in Fort Worth.

Jimmy was born October 12, 1966 in Gainesville. He was a member of the 1985 graduating class of Gainesville High School. Jimmy was a talented artist and loved to draw. He enjoyed playing Bingo and dearly loved his dog, Zorro. Jimmy will be fondly remembered as a fun-loving man that could make people laugh and had love in his heart for everyone.

Survived by: mother Linda Dickerson; brother Larry Dickerson (Rose); nephews Colten Dickerson (Taylor Beck) and Dustin Dickerson (Jahaira Munoz); niece Amberly Sanborn (Rance); and several beloved great-nieces, great-nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Predeceased by: father Lanny Dickerson; maternal grandparents Charles and Frances Ing; paternal grandparents Roger Dickerson and Ruth Calvert; and several aunts and uncles.

Serving as pallbearers are: Colten Dickerson, Dustin Dickerson, Lonnie Ing, Kevin Ing, Kenneth Ing, and Eddie Dickerson. Recognized as honorary pallbearers are: Rance Sanborn, Daulton Ing, Payton Ing, Stacy Evans, and Roger Dickerson.

Services are scheduled for Thursday, September 10, 2026 at Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home, Gainesville. The family will begin receiving friends at 12:30 p.m. and a funeral service will begin at 2:00 p.m. A committal service at Nelson Grove Cemetery, Woodbine, will immediately follow.
