Johnnie Wayne Crisp

July 17, 1951 — October 2, 2025

Pottsboro, Texas

Johnnie Wayne Crisp went peacefully to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Thursday, October 2, 2025.

Johnnie was born on July 17, 1951 in Hobart, OK. He graduated from Hobart high school and moved to Texas in his early 20’s. Mr. Crisp worked for Peterbilt, Safeway, Oscar Meyer, USPS, did roadwork, and spent 22 years with Bank of America before retiring.

On May 3, 2014, he married the love of his life, Julie Ann Hamby, whom he met at a minister’s retreat. It was love at first sight and they were so grateful for the marriage God blessed them with.

Mr. Crisp had many passions in life, including faith, family, and music. He loved Jesus and enthusiastically shared the gospel through preaching and song. Mr. Crisp was also known to joke around and appreciate a hot What-a-Burger.
