Laura was born September 27, 1969 in Lawton, OK. She was raised and attended schools in Denton and the surrounding area. She enjoyed scrapbooking and spending time with her friends and family.

Survived by: mother Edna Bottoms of Denton; brother John William Lewis; sisters Leigh Ann Gibbs and Cheri Gibbs; uncles Robert Hernandez and Anthony Arispi; and aunt Marcy Blanco.

Predeceased by: father John Cecil Lewis.
