Linda McLaughlin, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on September 18, 2025, at the age of 74.
Born in Dallas, Texas, Linda grew up in Grand Prairie, where she attended school and created lifelong connections. She later attended the University of North Texas. A cheerleader during her school years, Linda was also crowned Miss Flame of Dallas, a reflection of her vibrance and grace.
Linda went on to build a successful career in accounting and finance, working with well-known companies including Brinker International and Pioneer Corp. As her life evolved, she poured her energy into her faith, motherhood, and spending cherished time with friends and family.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Henry Nixon Peek, Jr. and Illa Vivian (Adams) Peek. She is survived by her daughter, Lauren McLaughlin, and son-in-law, Olivier de Certaines; her stepson, Dylan McLaughlin, his wife, Kimberly, and their daughter, Lana; and her brother, Henry N. Peek III, and his wife, Shellee.
Linda’s legacy lives on in the lives she touched with her joy and unwavering love. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
A time of visitation is scheduled for Thursday, September 25, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Allen Family Funeral Options, Plano, TX. A funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 26, at St. Andrew Methodist Church, Plano, TX. A brief reception will follow the funeral service.
